The School of Medical Technology and Clinical Laboratory Science at Shands Jacksonville offers a twelve-calendar-month, upper-division NAACLS-accredited curriculum for up to 10 students, leading to a baccalaureate degree awarded by an affiliated college or university. The program is also offered to graduates with a baccalaureate degree in medical technology, chemistry or biological science.
Students successfully completing the program are awarded a certificate of completion by the hospital. In addition they receive a minimum of 30 semester hours at affiliated colleges and universities, including the University of South Florida in Tampa and the University of West Florida in Pensacola
